Below are the photos of the stock rubber brake hoses of the Mitsubishi Triton 2.5D (model year 2006-present or called L200 in some countries), and then replaced with the SuperCircuit steel braided brake hoses.
The SuperCircuit steel braided brake line kit for the Mitsubishi Triton 2.5D comes with all four pieces of steel brake hose. Two for the front disc brakes and two for the rear drum brakes setup.
<FRONT RUBBER BRAKE HOSE>
Taking the front right wheel of the Mitsubishi Triton off, you will find the scene below - the rubber brake hose is unveiled.
You will find the factory stock Mitsubishi Triton banjo fitting on the caliper side....
Along the rubber brake hose, you will see the centre fitting of the front rubber brake hose. This centre fitting is hooked onto a metal L-shaped bracket on the Mitsubishi Triton front shock absorber.
At the top end, it is a female fitting connecting to the metal brake line on the vehicle body.
<FRONT STEEL BRAKE HOSE>
Then, here comes the SuperCircuit steel braided brake hose installed to the front right hand side of the vehicle.
From bottom to the top, the BANJO FITTING at the caliper side. Note the two copper washer, used on each side of the banjo fitting, to seal off the brake fluid from leaking. A must and very important component during the installation process.
CENTRE FITTING is replace with rubber. Rubber fitting holds the steel braided brake hose in position, does not cause abrasion to the brake hose and prevents the brake hose from rubbing against moving components such as shock absorber, upper & lower arm, turning tyre, etc.
At the top end, it is a FEMALE FITTING connecting to the metal brake line on the vehicle body. All components from SuperCircuit Steel Braided Brake Line Kit are designed to be able to stragith bolt-on, 100% OEM compatible.
<REAR STEEL BRAKE HOSES>
Replacing the rear brake hoses to SuperCircuit steel braided ones for the Mitsubishi Triton 2.5D is quite straight forward. Both the brake hoses are located at the left hand side of the rear axle.
Proper bleeding is required after the whole installation process above. Please seek professional advise if required.
SuperCircuit steel Braided Brake Lines are compliant to Society of Automotive Engineers, International (SAE J1401) and DOT Standard Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS106) and every hose is tested to 3000 p.s.i. (normal brake master pump will reach around 1800 p.s.i.). Best of all, it comes with lifetime warranty*.
