Honda Airwave Steel Braided Brake Line Kit

SUPERCIRCUIT has developed the steel braided brake line kit for the Honda Airwave (2005-2010).

The steel braided brake hoses greatly improves the braking performance of this five door compact MPV. Below are the photos during the installation. 

<FRONT>

The front of the Honda Airwave comes with the ventilated disc brake (SEE BELOW). Note the factory stock brake hoses are made of rubber. Rubber brake hoses tend to deteriorate through expansion and moisture, especially under high operating temperatures; it will also swell with age and restrict brake fluid flow. So, we always remind our customer to inspect the rubber brake hoses frequently.

The front rubber brake hose of the Honda Airwave is replaced with SUPERCIRCUIT steel braided brake hose (PICTURE BELOW) for better braking response, shorter braking distance and eliminates brake fading under severe braking conditions e.g. down hill, carrying heavy load etc.

The Honda Airwave comes with drum brake (SEE BELOW) and rubber brakes hoses as standard at the rear.

The rear Honda Airwave rubber brake hoses are located near the solid rear axle. We replaced them with the SUPERCIRCUIT steel braided ones (SEE BELOW). SuperCircuit steel Braided Brake Lines are compliant to Society of Automotive Engineers, International (SAE J1401) and DOT Standard Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS106) and every hose is tested to 3000 p.s.i. Honda Civic FD2R Steel Braided Brake Line Kit

Yet another Honda Civic Type-R (FD2R) installed the full set of SuperCircuit Steel Braided Brake Line Kit for better braking performance.

Steel braided brake hoses are more resistant to brake fading, it will also eliminate brake pedal sponginess, provide firm and immediate brake response hence reduce braking distance during emergency braking is especially important for such a high performance model.

Stock front brake hoses of the Honda Civic Type-R are made of rubber (see below photos). Most of the time, moisture will be absorbed into the brake fluid systems through rubber brake hoses and contaminate brake fluid, contaminated brake fluid can be harmful to the rubber brake hoses' inner surface, and affect the braking performance. It is advisable to check your rubber brake hoses frequently for possible faulty.

SuperCircuit Steel Braided Brake Hose installed to the front of the Honda Civic Type R  with Brembo calipers (see below). All SuperCircuit Steel Braided Brake Hose fittings are 100% compatible with the factory stock braking system and Brembo calipers.

<Honda Jazz Hybrid Front Brake Hoses>

Rubber brake hoses have the possibility to absorb moisture and contaminate the brake fluid, contaminated brake fluid can be harmful to the rubber brake hoses' inner surface, and affect the braking performance. That's why the steel braided brake hoses come into the picture.

SuperCircuit steel braided brake lines are with Teflon inner core which doesn't absorb moisture and very corrosive resistance, hence minimizes the weakness of the rubber brake hoses.

Honda Civic (FB) Hybrid Steel Braided Brake Line Kit

SuperCircuit Honda Civic Hybrid (FB) Steel Braided Brake Line Kit is now available through the SuperCircuit dealers nationwide.

The Civic Hybrid has a regenerative braking system that works with the Integrated Motor. When braking the load of the Integrated Motor slows the vehicle down and at the same time generating the load into electricity. It is This energy is then stored in the battery for future use. Friction brakes add additional stopping power as necessary and for low speeds braking.

Beside the assisted braking, the integrated motor loading and advanced hydraulic booster thingy. The brake fluid on the Honda Civic Hybrid (FB) is still transmitting via the rubber brake hoses to the brake calipers.

The wheel is removed at the front in order to access to the brake hoses.....

Factory fitted rubber brake hose of the Honda CR-Z. Stock rubber brake hose will have an average life of five to six years. Brake hoses deteriorate faster if under high operating temperatures e.g. down hills, heavy braking etc. Moisture will also be absorbed into the brake fluid systems through rubber brake hoses and contaminate brake fluid, contaminated brake fluid can be harmful to the rubber brake hoses' inner surface....

Note the 'metal holding bracket' at the centre of the hose is replaced with the SuperCircuit professionally made bracket too! This metal bracket is specially made to let the steel braided brake hose in place, no chance to touch the suspension or any moving parts at the wheel. Not the cable tie type used by certain aftermarket brake hose.

SuperCircuit Steel Braided Brake Hose with Teflon inner hose, wrapped by stainless steel braided middle section and then coated with PVC, minimized the weakness of the rubber brake hose. It also response faster and more consistent under heavy braking or panic braking conditions.

 The rear wheel is removed!

After removing the rear wheel, you will see the factory fitted rubber brake hose.... the centre section with the 'holding bracket' will be replaced with SuperCircuit professionally made steel braided brake line holding bracket.

Replaced it with the SuperCircuit steel braided brake line for significantly improved braking performance over the rubber brake hose.
