Stock front brake hoses of the MX-5 are made of rubber. Moisture will be absorbed into the brake fluid systems through rubber brake hoses and contaminate brake fluid, contaminated brake fluid can be harmful to the rubber brake hoses' inner surface, and affect the braking performance. It is advisable to check your rubber brake hoses frequently for possible faulty.
Mazda MX-5 front stock rubber brake hoses are changed to steel braided ones from SuperCircuit. The steel braided brake hose gives more feedback and more responsive against the factory fitted rubber brake hose due to the superior performance of the inner Teflon core and steel braided outer layer preventing the brake hose from expanding under severe conditions i.e. high temperature operation, heavy braking, down hills etc.
