Average life span of factory fitted rubber brake hose is around 5-6 years. Rubber brake hoses deteriorates faster under high operation temperature e.g. down hills, heavy braking etc.

 Factory fitted Honda CR-Z rubber brake hose....

Replaced with Teflon core, steel braided brake line. Note the SuperCircuit steel braided brake line bracket is 100% OEM compatible and fasten back to the original brake hose holding bracket (shown here is the after market suspension without the original holding bracket).

Rear Honda CR-Z braking system....
